Watching a recorded off analogue tv VHS on a CRT is certainly not the best, as people keep point out to you.Every time you watch a tape it degrades in quality which is already pretty poor to start with. A store bought VHS will be better but again if played often it will wear out. Also VHS is a fairly low resolution.

So you only like the first 7 as there are 3 TNG based movies after that, of which Forst Contact is certainly the better movie.

I do have the original 7 films on Laserdisc, however they are purely for nostalgia, The Blu-Ray copies I have are fantastic but not moved to the 4K versions yet.
