In that case, I agree, there’s no contest.

The only question now is how radical will he be?

He did a brilliant job as mayor, but the job of a PM is far harder, with problems coming at you from all directions while there’s an agenda to be progressed.

Hopefully, he will keep to the mandate Starmer had, but with a better way of dealing with it, otherwise he should go for a General Election to get his new mandate accepted by the electorate.
