Are you suggesting that Reform supporters, switched to voting Labour just to get someone into Parliament who will oust the current PM?

Surely then it would be better for Reform supporters to have, well, voted Reform, keep Burnham out and ‘lame-duck’ Starmer in place.

Jem, it’s exactly what the voters were saying - they said they would vote for Burnham to get Starmer out.

It makes sense. They hate Starmer up there. He’s not exactly popular in the South, either, is he? If Reform won, it would have no bearing on whether the PM would leave.
