It sticks in my throat to listen to ministers and senior coppers telling us they can’t guarantee Jews are safe on our streets. Worse is their wilful refusal to see the obvious connection between murderous violence against British Jews and the last two or more years of viciously antisemitic demonstrations on our streets, which they largely refused to do anything about, on the basis that chanting ‘globalize the intifada’ and ‘from the river to the sea’ is legitimate protest about the war in Gaza. |
