If you wish to make any computer usage reliant on a 'remote' and under sole control of the purveyor then you are encouraging a monopolostic state of affairs with regard to software. This 'is' communisim at its finest example where one is controlled by another person/entity.
Not the way I and indeed many others would wish to work.
P2P is a lot more than 'warez monkeys' or to use your phrase 'theives', their are many legitamate uses for the P2P network, as a quick trawl of any cap thread in this forum will reveal.
