Just found out that those who pay a little extra for Now TV (Boost) to obtain the channels without adverts (and other benefits) also get HBO ad free.

I had thought that, as the extra hadn't been paid for to HBO, that accessing HBO via the Now app would have resulted in ads being shown.

Now that the PQ can be improved, I don't understand why Sky Sports customers don't use Sky Sports instead of Sky/Virgin. By playing the cancellation game it can be had for £19.99 and Boost for £2. Only thing is they can't record, but I assume that the live sport is put onto VOD??

When the time comes i'll be looking into the generic boxes that are available that record Freesat, Freevuew and IPTV. For any pay content i'll dip in/out of streaming services, probably Now/HBO.
