Re: Analogue Cable Memories

Joined cable late in summer of 2000. Stupidly we didn't take internet on at the same time as we had freeserve and i'd go on it every wednesday after 8pm and saturday nights. i can't remember if it was a case of me not being allowed internet 24/7 or i just didnt know i could get it as i was the most technologically advanced member of my family and I was like 13 at the time.

Got telewest in summer 2000 and i absolutely loved it. i loved the free magazine we'd get and i'd be sat on my sofa bouncing between sky sports channels in awe. got freeserve unlimited in 2002 just in time for my gcses and my mum made me promise it wouldnt impact my exams. i finished school in April for exam revision and i was all over the internet haha. sadly i'd get caught out whenever my mum and dad came back from work because they'd see this huge white wire going down the staircase from my bedroom to the phone socket downstairs....

went from analogue cable and freeserve to telewest digital and blueyonder internet. no more wires. constant on internet. more channels. if i remember correctly we didnt get sky sports news on analogue cable?

still didnt understand i could get a tv box in my room so i'd get frustrated every sunday at not being able to watch the football as my nan would be around watching eastenders etc. god love her!
