Question I'm annoyed and curious

I've been getting texts recently about mis-sold car insurance. This is laughable...because not only do I not have a car, I can't even drive. This is because:

1) I can't afford it.

2) I don't want it. Every car owner I've known seems to get endless hassle I don't need.

3) I did try, once, to drive a 3.5 tonner as part of my job, as what's known as a shunter. But I couldn't get the hang of the clutch (nor could I when I tried doing my CBT), and I nearly crashed. The company never offered training again. I got the hint: some people are natural drivers, but not me.

Every time I get one my (new) phone flags it as spam, and I report & block it. What I want to know is: why am I getting these? Why send them to someone who isn't a registered car owner? I'm halfway inclined towards chasing it up, then at the critical point saying, "Oh, BTW, I don't have a car and can't drive anyway".
