We really don't need the BBC. Someone should look at this objectively.

If it stopped operating tomorrow, what would we miss? There are many news channels/outlets; drama can be produced by anyone; Attenborough will soon have expired; and so on.

Problem is, with the establishment, dumping the BBC would be unthinkable.
