More, I'm in that sort of mood today...

5 - oh, I have so been there! Picture: I'm roaming all over my estate, putting up 'Have You Seen This Cat' pics (offering a reward), and to top it off, it started to rain. Of course it did.

But I loved my Tigger, so I sucked it up like a Marine/cat owner (not much difference, I've always thought!), and carried on trudging.

Nothing. For hours.

I wearily plod home, wondering what to do...and there's Tigger, as if nothing was ever wrong, looking up at me as if to say 'Where've you been?' She'd come in with a downstairs neighbour.

She wasn't even wet!

6...oh, my Mum. This was on the last night of her life. The fam (Dad, my half-sisters and I) had been there for several hours; she'd had a stroke, was out of it for a while, seemed to recover, then she had a relapse and was sleeping. We decided that 2 of us should go home and sleep, and take over from the other 2 in a few hours.

Then I noticed Mum looking sallow...

She was gone.

At the funeral one sister managed to smile. "Just like her, to have a joke with us," she said, "there we were planning to leave, and it's as if she thought 'oh no you don't' and passed away on us!"

We did laugh.
