There may, just possibly, be a
Blake's 7 reboot. Ooh, I do hope so. Loved that. I joined the Eclectic team at the Redemption convention, affectionately extracting the michael out of it (there
may have been booze involved...).
Picture:
"Travis, in one of Dayna's pink leather outfits, offers a posy to Tarrant on one knee. Avon comes in, and..."
(this is only funny if you've watched the very last episode)
...I pick up the thread: "Is it
true?! Have
you...betrayed
me?!"
Cue hysterical laughter - intensifying when the instigator of this atrocity points out that it isn't clear who Avon's talking to! We had
both of them turning to him and protesting,
"No!"
Oh, we had such fun - whilst greatly respecting the show as all true SF fans do. Just like
Lower Decks and
Robot Chicken; both are made with love and attention to detail in their parody. Yes, the B7 sets wobbled. Yes, the F/X weren't great (not Martin Bower's fault, they kept lighting his superb models wrongly). But the
stories, oh, they were mostly terrific. I for one would welcome a return.
