My Ethernet cable is CAT 7 into a tp-link 8 port Gigabit switch. not sure if that is 1gig or 2.5. All 8 ports used.
The Hub 4 only has 1 gigabit ethernet ports, so allowing for the overheads, the absolute fastest internet you will ever, ever get is around 940-950 Mb/s.

Almost certainly your 8-port switch is also equipped with 1 Gbit ports.

Your reported speed is correct, you ore on VM’s 1 Gig tier which is 1 Gb/s down and roughly 1/10 of that up. In general VM slightly over provision the speed, which explains why the upload speed is slightly more than you might think.
