Atleast it's not -5c outside like it was late December last year, I returned from Christmas at parents putting the heating on 12hrs before I got home, it went off at 10pm as expected but never came on again so the house was 9c when i arrived!!! Even Mr K would moan at that.
Because of the time of year I had to wait several days before the fault was diagnosed and eventually fixed, in my case the fan had seized in my antique boiler. This pushed me to get the boiler replaced 5 months later in warmer weather.
