Sky Sports was known as The Sports Channel before Sky merge with BSB to become BSkyB.
*In 1988 EU pick Sky to launch and run an European Sport Channel.
*On February 5th Eurosport as part of the FOUR UK Channels on Astra 1A.
*Eurosport did close for TEN Days until TF1 took over Sky's share in 1991.
*Eurosport did merge with ScreenSport in 1993.
