Re: What are you eating now?
Just been to Tharavadu (Keralan restaurant in Leeds) for a late Christmas get together with friends.
I had Njerippan Kozhi for starters, Adu Cheera Mappas for mains, accompanied by a Kerala Paratha, washed down by 3 bottles of low alcohol Indian lager (I volunteered to be the designated driver).
Food was outstanding, and very good service.
NK - pieces of chicken in a gravy made with peppers, onion, & ground Kerala spices
ACM - boneless lamb cubes in a fresh spinach & a Kerala sauce,
KP - made with a dough of plain flour, oil, ghee, and water that is beaten into thin layers and rolled into a round bread; flaky, layered, and crispy on the outside, while soft and fluffy on the inside.
