Re: The what are you drinking now?
A rather smooth Cognac (Michel Forgeron, V.S.O.P. Réserve Spéciale, Grande Champagne) from the Wright Wine & Whisky Company in Skipton - outstanding wine & spirits shop, has over a thousand different whiskies* and a fine selection of Cognacs/Armagnacs/Calvados; my wallet is always considerably lighter after I’ve visited there.
(and if you are a wine aficionado, their on-line wine list is 98 pages long, with approx. 20 wines per page - not bad for a small(ish) shop)

It doesn’t seem so many years ago that we had just one whisky room – the addition of the second signalled the beginnings of a change in the drinks market, and we now have whisky galore.
Our first whisky rooms contains scotch whiskies from the traditionally recognised Scotch Whisky regions; Highland, Lowland, Speyside, Campbeltown and Island. (Don't worry - we have plenty from Islay, it's in room two!).
We hold regular tasting events for whisky, and try to visit the distilleries in person where possible. This gives us some great insight and background information for us to share. As well as core range, we often stock limited editions, travel retail and collectors bottlings.
For the true whisky connoisseur, or indecisive beginner, we regularly have more than 1,000 products open for sampling. Just make sure you have a designated driver please…
