I seriously doubt you listen to tapes from a tape deck through an AM/FM Tuner because you can not hear anything from an AM/FM Tuner without plugging it into an AMP first which I assume the tape deck is plugged into. Been a long time since I have a stack system. My home cinema amp does have a tuner built in but it never gets used
