Do they sometimes bring back removed FAST channels after they've been removed? I'm fairly sure thar Catfish has been added after a previous removal.
Perhaps they only pay for/have jointly agreed on a certain number of EPG slots, so keep rotating them.

I really doubt that Global have requested that Gold Radio should be Gold Radio. on Virgin. After all, there is no full stop on the Sky service name. The DAB name doesn't help much as it is Gold Radio UK - again no full stop. Going to their internet streams, it is named Gold Radio and on Global Player, it is GOLD RADIO stylised in caps but, again, no full stop. Informally they still refer to it as Gold - so they don't seem too fussy about the new name yet.
FAST channels cycling through different "brands" hasn't happened much but is a thing on platforms such as Pluto, so can be expected on Virgin. The issue here is really Virgin holding prospective FAST channels in the background for months, without actually launching them. Probably some reason for it but I doubt anyone actually really cares. Catfish, like 5 Cops and CSI: New York are direct links from the 360 EPG to the Pluto FAST channels. Apparently, Virgin couldn't make these launch from the V6 red button slates, so they don't show up on the V6 any longer. Not a big issue, they are still available within the Pluto app on the V6, as they are on the 360 with many other channels available that aren't on the Virgin TV EPG.

Placeholders for the old Box Plus / Box Network music channels and NDTV Good Times are due to be removed very shortly. If anyone has any recordings still to watch, time is running out.
