Depends how far back up the distribution network the damage is … could be a high voltage line in a windier area far away. Good thing is those sorts of outages tend to get fixed quicker. We used to know how long we were going to be off based on which local village FB pages were full of people moaning … down the road where the kids’ high school was, if they went off when we did it would be back within an hour. If it was just around where their primary school was … in a storm bad enough, it could be days. Or a week.
