Taylor Swift and her fans (‘swifties’) represent everything incels hate most, they are happy, strong, and promote a positive image of empowered femininity to girls and young women.
Unless the perpetrator personally knew someone there and had a personal grudge, then it seems most likely to me that it was targeted simply because the event had ‘Taylor Swift’ in its title.

It’s a decent shout.
I can’t believe a young man would undertake such a heinous attack totally on his own volition, there has to have been an external influencing factor driving him to this.
Either that, or he is a completed nut job and evil personified.
The parental situation is a bit ambiguous at the moment, in so far as we know he was born to Rwandan immigrant parents in Cardiff and later moved to Southport, But where are the parents now?
Did they move to Southport? are they still with him and in his life? Does he have siblings?
I think his family life may be key to understanding his actions
