We have in place what's called a Peace Plan and lays out his wishes, on is NOT to go to hospital, and system can be put in place for treatments, including End Of Life.
Right on a serious note how to detect a UTI (From what's happened to me)
The person sees people that are not there and may even talk to them.
Their urine is a a dark colour (Like a dark bitter)
Their Urine has a very strong smell.

We have just had the same with my father in law, he was treated in hospital. He to is in end of life.
