Exactly. When you buy a retail VHS it's already likely 3-4 print away from the original negative and reduced quality. At least with Digital every copy made of it is identical.

What a tape looked like on your TV also heavily depended on the quality of your TV and VHS player as well as the cables between them. Not to mention every play of the tape wears it down so will get worse over time. I love my Laserdisc for nostalgia but the picture quality is pretty terrible by modern standards.

Then again digital formats heavily depend on the bit rate and resolution they are played at.

I'm open to new Star Wars films as long as they are interesting and open the world more. Exploring more eras and parts of the galaxy. That's why the Acolyte series is very appealing to me. An as yet unseen period on screen.
