Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8

The neurologist I saw in December wants me to have some MRI's (I am seeing him for two issues at opposite ends of my torso. I told him that my pacemaker leads were incompatible but he insisted.

I got BUPA approval and let him make arrangements. He favoured a unit in Basingstoke as they have a more open scanner. Nothing.
Then I get a message that Basingstoke can't take me as they can't deal with pacemakers and that they will now book with Spire (Southampton), all quiet.
Eventually I get in contact with his private secretary and she finds an email in the wrong box about the Spire and she deals with it.
Message from Spire, they need a copy of my pacemaker "certificate". So I scan it and email to them. They can't open the attachment can I send a PDF. It is a PDF. So I email it from my PC, no good. I email it to work. OK. I email from work, no good. Finally I use GMail web interface CC to work. I get it OK at work and finally they get it.

Sorry we can't do an MRI because although your pacemaker is OK the leads aren't, passing back to consultant for alternative imaging.
