This change suggests to me Ofcom have either already brushed it under the carpet or are going to rule in their favour.
If a change was coming from Ofcom that would require contracts to be two sided (no increases during terms of contract), then providers would be making changes pretending they doing it voluntary to get marketing gains I think.
Luckily my contract ends in April, and any renewals I will push hard to be on 12 month intervals so I am in the driving seat, already have the same on EE with 12 month April renewals.
