Re: What Media did you last get??

To be fair, most new TVs come with a filmmaker mode that strips back all the digital processing for picture and sounds so that when watching movies they appear as the director intended. Most new 4K UHD discs are very well restored from the original 35mm film and given a lot of care so they look the best they possibly can. The new anniversary edition of Sing in the Rain in 4K looks simply stunning. There are details and objects that now are so clear but you'd swear they were there before. Where as on the old DVD it's so bad looking as it was just scanned off what ever copy they had. Fuzzy, wrong colours etc.

Star Wars the same, every version, from my Laser disc to VHS to DVD, Blu Ray to 4K Blu Ray are all different colours due to different colour correction on them all. I think DVD was the worst as it had a very green tint to it.
