I want to adapt to new technology, new technology should be better and easier for the end user and for series links, it simply isn't. It's not about wanting to carry on doing things that I'm used to, it's your workaround isn't doing what I want the series link to do.

Yes, I get what you are saying. What I said about future recordings not listed in the schedule was that if there have been previous series, you can keep the series link open.
I can’t think of any circumstances under which I would think to set a recording for a programme that’s not been on before nine months before it is aired! But obviously you do, so fair enough.
However, I do think it’s pedantic when there are other much more useful features such as profiles on the 360 that are not available on the TiVos. But again, that’s me and I’m not you.
