A good few years ago now I was employed by a business that was consolidating a lot of closed life fund businesses It had been acquiring. I was doing internal communications. It fairly quickly became clear they were going to outsource as much back office work as they could and rumours were rife that Capita would get the contract. This organisation was universally despised by the staff (who used to refer to it as Crapita). They already had a well-established reputation in the industry and it was not a good one.
You can imagine that when the outsourcing deal was announced, and Capita got the contract, that was a tough sell for me and my colleagues in internal comms.
