Quite possibly, yes. If so, they must have underestimated the number of people who would resist their attempts to get more money out of their customets. You'd think that they'd have taken inflation and the cost of living crisis into consideration, especially when most of their products are either luxury or non essential products.
If only a couple of people in a street cancel, this cancels out the extra revenue from those who paid up.
