Growing up, we always had lemon and sugar on traditional British style pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, but when on holiday a visit to a Little Chef was always one of the treats and they always served British style pancakes with maple syrup.
I longed for the day when I was too old for the kids menu and it would be two pancakes with syrup and ice cream instead of just one pancake with syrup only.
