1995 saw cable start to appear in York. By then it was Bell Cablemedia. Leeds was the main hub for the franchise which also included Harrogate as well as York, and I presume it was also 1995 for harrogate.

Digital television didn't begin until autumn 1998 and it wasn't until at elast mid-1999 that digital first became available for cable subscribers.

Yes, but the build didn’t reach our location until early ‘95 (may have been late ‘94, but can’t remember).
I was employee number 50 at Jones Cable Leeds - started 3rd January 1994, and it became BCM in July ‘95 (we all changed our company cars from Mondeos to A4s).
