Definitely time for an election but there is no way the Conservative Party will go to the polls with such low polling.

Sunak also broke the law with Partygate but Partygate alone was insufficient to bring Johnson down. There were at least three other reasons on top of the misleading Parliament charge:
  • The Chris Pincher affair
  • The cost of living crisis - and a tax rise
  • Owen Paterson row

I think the above explains why Sunak is a more acceptable Prime Minister to the electorate than Johnson, despite his Partygate fine.
