Our son, who is Head of Systems and Security including Disaster Management and Recovery for an international company, worked with his recovery data service team on the drive but it was almost totally corrupted with only a few viewable files left. Ironically the files recovered weren't of any real interest. I did originally offer to use some data recovery software that I had googled but he was horrified. 
The worst thing was our son had offered to back up all my stuff on to his server which would have, and now does, automatically store everything on the cloud but I kept forgetting to give him the drive. |
wow hubby must have gone to town on it then if that degree of recovery was impossible. Nightmare
