France is a pretty big contributor to NATO and she would have pulled out France from its 'command structure meaning NATO couldn't call upon them. In my judgement EU chaos is not the same as the NATO case. Previously France wasn't in NATO and that didn't matter; it won't matter if they leave NATO. The NATO alliance will stand and be augmented by Finland and Sweden.
