The more people then smaller the dram of whisky. Often we watch BBC Alba on New Year as the music is better than the main channels. It's going to be duller without the fireworks though.
(Dream plan was to coordinate with neighbours to set off fireworks in sequence so the "display" lasts longer rather than all at once - mind you the celebration in 1999 was such that it reminded my grandmother of the war the way the sky lit up. Trouble is the folks around with nervous pets who moan on local social media every time someone dares set of fireworks.)
