That’s fine if you always have a decent balance in your current account. When you are on a reduced, fixed income as most people of pensionable age are it is not always as easy. Especially at certain times of the year such as Christmas.
Using my debit card at these times helps me to smooth out my expenditure. You also get extra protection for your purchases via credit card.
I suspect some sort of ‘agreement’ may be arrived at before Jan 19th.
