Faulty Superhub 4 or am I just unlucky?

I'll try to keep this as short as I can.
I've used VM's various hubs in modem mode for years and used my own router, the hub 4 has been no different since I got it roughly a year ago.
However over the past few weeks I was losing the wifi from my router more and more frequently until it not only lost the wifi but also ethernet internet no longer worked.
Having tried things like different cables and determining there was internet present from the hub by trying it directly connecting it to my pc and also in router mode I bought a new (rather expensive for me) TP-Link Archer AX6000 router.
Everything worked well on the new router with the hub back in modem mode for about 90 minutes when its wifi would no longer work, not long afterwards wired internet stopped working too.
I have the hub back in router mode now so I can still get internet and have found this new Archer will act as an access point if its not connected to the hub via its WAN port but just one of its normal ports.

I'm no networking or cable expert so am wondering if those more knowledgeable think the Superhub 4 could be causing this or if I've just been very unlucky to buy a faulty router which has the same fault as my old one?
If it is the hub 4 at fault I'm wondering how I get past the CS scripts to get a new one sent out too.
