On demand currently doesn't provide anything for a sports fan. WIthout recording I would be binning SkyQ.
From what I can make out, Sky Q over IPTV gives you about 80 channels and access to other streaming services such as Netflix, Prime and Disney +. It may also provide a live streaming service for your sport (similar to the streaming service on the BBC I-Player).

I think Sky will have to provide a ‘recording to the cloud’ ability if this is to catch on in a big way. The reduction in live channels will happen in the end in any case.
