16 colours? Wonder if you had a driver problem that reset it? Seems strange that someone would go out of their way to set it to 16 colours

I've set all the PC's in the department that I work in to the max colour setting and a decent resolution as I was fed up with looking at 800x600 @ 256 colours (our I.T boys are useless at setting profiles up so they work first time)
