Thank you so much everyone.
I have found myself comparing today with the same day last year when no one realised what the future had in store for us. I woke up feeling so depressed this morning but as the day has progressed I have been so touched that people have still managed to make my day special. So many flowers I have run out of vases and the phone calls from family and friends have all given me a real boost.
Take care everyone, each one of you are special, and I hope that on this day next year our world will be on its way to normality. Until then I am still determined to grow old(er) as disgracefully as possible.
Off to share a pot of fresh coffee with John and to sample the Chocolate Fudge cake our son baked for me and in another hour I shall break out the G & Ts.
