You can move a "normal" mouse around simply by resting your hand, out flat on top of it. No gripping or holding required. In that sense you're moving your arm/shoulder and not your hand. Similarly with using a tablet computer/smartphone as mouse, little actual hand movement required.


I can get problems(arthritis) with my right hand when using a mouse. I suspect that is a result of over 30 years of using a mouse.
