Err no. No disrespect to them but most most supermarket work is unskilled or low skilled, many of them work variable hours that can be increased and additional casual labour can easily be procured. Especially as other sectors of the economy are now making large numbers of people redundant. Supermarket staff are not key workers.

NHS staff on the other hand are with only relatively few exceptions skilled, highly skilled or professionally qualified and their absence at a time like this will not lengthen food queues, it will put lives at direct mortal risk.

There is no comparison here whatsoever.
