It has been a hidden feature for quite some time. It wasn't as smoothly implemented to change channel as the Press Blue for HD, so they haven't put the prompt on-screen until now. Thanks for the heads-up.

This probably explains why my box rebooted overnight, a software update maybe that implements this.
