A lot of the houses in the village where we live are old and have either decades or centuries old wooden doors.

Most of my neighbours in the more modern builds have replaced their wooden and UPVC doors with composites. White and black seem to be the most common picks.

With a composite door you can have different colours on the inner and outer facing panels. We have black on the outside and white on the inside in a white UPVC frame and it looks pretty smart.
