Celebrating quality cinema from the ‘40s to the Noughties, Sony Movies Classic will air iconic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood, landmark movies from every decade, key films of the British new-wave, and modern masterpieces.
Given they are moving away from the TV Movie content they were showing on True Movies/Christmas and to a lesser extent on Sony Movies Christmas to show films that got a cinema release, I wonder if they might launch a new channel using the space Sony Crime is on (but obviously a different EPG number in the film category) and cater for that market again.

Although the type of content Sony Movies Classic is more my type of thing there is an existing viewerbase for their previous type of content, especially FTA, as the closest is PayTV channels Movies24 and Movies24+.

They could call it Sony Movies Romance.
