May went back to the EU with the agreed deal which was rejected by parliament. This is not negotiating for changes, this is just doing the same thing with an already agreed result.
The EU has no need to change, they have agreed the deal as it stands.
There is nothing to say a leaner deal cannot be sought. Red lines can be erased.
