Taf: well, it's Netgear, output 12V, but how I would check the polarity is beyond me (sealed unit obviously). It came off my old Virgin router, so I think it's still valid from that point of view.

Anyway, problem is still happening (need to reboot Router each morning as iPads aren't connected to www), so (a) I think my guess that transformer was on the blink was definitely wrong, and (b) I'll have to try Virgin...

Unless you've got any better ideas about that problem? That is, why wifi disappears overnight (no physical changes) and the only way to re-establish it is to (1) reboot Router, and (2) reset iPad and reinput wireless password.
