However, the reason the red screen is so annoying is that I have to record the news and national weather and have a separate recording for the local news. So I tend to watch the News at Ten, fast forward to the national weather, delete that and move on to the local news. As the main news is of varying length, more often than not you then have to fast forward through the last part of the main news just to see the local bulletin in SD.
OK, it's not exactly a world crisis, but after years of this, it's about time they fixed it!
