Creating a Media Server for Amazon Echo

At home I have 2 Echo Dots, and a Echo Show.

No I want to have the ability to play my own music which is stored on a NAS (WD My Book Live 2TB)

My router (bought today) is a Netgear Noghthawk X6.

The 2TB has under Media setting iTunes & Twonky Media.

I can put it on a WD My Cloud 3TB which has under Media Server iTunes & DLNA Media Server.

Is it possible with that setup.

Or would it be better to plug a 2/3TB WD HDD into the USB 3 port on the router, but what do I need to install/run?

Any help is greatful.
