Bananas in Tesco

Charging more for individual bananas in smaller Tesco stores due to high rents. 25p per banana.

But if you go into a large Tesco, you often see bananas (and other small fruits) offered FREE to children in the store.

Nothing new really as they have charged for individual turnips for years. No matter what size they are, they sell them at 50p each (around £3.40 per kg), whereas ASDA sells them at £1.89 per kg.
