Two ancilliary points:
- Now that Sky has been sold, Liberty Global is in a strong position to argue for a better price for VM from Vodafone.
- Comcast's next logical purchase would be the loss-making French satellite TV company CanalPlus from owners Vivendi. Vivendi and Comcast are linked in that they both own bits of Universal - Comcast owns
Universal Pictures and Vivendi owns
Universal Music. Both Universals are doing rather well out of Abba at the moment!
